In the 1st game Hangar Inn prevailed 11-5 over the Kettle. The Kettle’s defense, comprised of two substitutes and an infield of five playing out of position, scrapped to hold the Inners to 11 runs. However, the Kettle bats ran cold for most of the game. Ernie Rounsefell had 4 hits. Keith (Crafty Hitter) Crafton and Howard Thompson collected 3 hits each, but the Kettlers could only score 5 runs. The much improved Hangar Inn team was led by the 3 hits each by Brian Heffernan, Rich Alcaraz, Frank Mazzotta, Audie Freeman, Ron Rotstein and Jeff Walsh (triple). Kelly Kahl, Hugh John McDonald, Joe Rassulo and Keith Sanchez all added 2 hits each.

The 2nd game between Butcher Construction and the Admiral Risty Whalers was a close contest with Risty coming out on top 14-10. After the 6th inning the Whalers held a 13 to 8 advantage over the Butchers and eventually ended the game with a 4 run lead. Adam Garcia led the Whalers with 3 hits, while Gary Bemis (triple), Mike Lorden (triple), Alan Kiser (2 triples. sac and 4 rbi’s), Rick Mansker, Mike Costa Richard Ecker, Wayne Judah, Sam Barr and Jim Stevens (triple and 3 rbi’s) all having 2 hits each for the game.
