Starting the day off was the Admiral Risty Whalers playing against the Jets that resulted in a 20-3 win for the Whalers. The Jets were scoreless in 5 of their 7 innings of play resulting in their low score. The Whalers on the other hand had only 1 scoreless inning in their at bats. Leading Risty was Gary Bemis (triple 3 rbi’s), Mike Lorden (double 5 rbi’s), Alan Kiser (3 rbi’s) and substitute Bryan White, all with 4 hits each. Tony Luca (3 rbi’s), Wayne Galer, Rick Mansker, Mike Costa (HR 3 rbi’s) and Jim Stevens all with 3 hits each. The Jets were led in hitting by George Wolfe who went 3/3. In the 2nd game today Butcher Construction was victorious over the Hangar Inn with the score of 15-7. The game was very close after 5 full innings with the score 7-6 Butcher. The remaining innings 4 innings saw the Butcher Boys add 8 more runs while Hangar Inn could only muster 1 run in the last inning.
