(Blue Manager) The Blue Team came ready to play and set down Green’s top three hitters 1-2-3. In the bottom of the first, Blue immediately got on the board with a Bill Katz Bomb, notching 2. Another run followed and Blue went up 3-0. Green scrapped back with the unstoppable David Inouye to put 1 on the board. The 3rd inning saw goose eggs for both teams. In the top of the 4th, Green picked up another run to draw within 1… The score 3-2. But in the bottom of the 4th, Blue busted out with a Five-spot and ran the score to 8-2. Another goose eggs for Green in the top of the 5th opened the door for Blue to tack on 3 more making it 11-2. Green picked up a pair in the 7th but it was too little too late. Final, 11-4. Standouts include Martin Ageson with a clutch hit, Bob Richardson with flawless pitching, John Ricci holding down left field, Howard Thompson and Tony Luca locking up the middle infield, Mike Jenkins with nice catches in left center. But the MVP went to Jesse Miciano who stunned the outfield with a big shot to left center and a game sealing catch on a foul tip. Congratulations to the Green team for a great game, to the MBSSA Director Dennis Lew for a great season and to the 2026 Champion BLUE TEAM for playing hard and playing together!
