2026 WEEK 23 TUESDAY PARITY LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS

The 1st game today was won by the Blue Team over the Red Team 14-9. No Report from the Blue or Red Team.

(White Manager) In the 2nd game of the day, fighting for home field advantage in the Play-in Game, the Grey’s came up winners in the bottom of the last inning, 11-10. The score was close for the entire game, Grey up 7-6 after 5 innings. Both teams scored 2 in each of the 6th and 7th with the lead changing each inning until Jon Chapman hit a screaming walk-off line drive with the bases loaded and one out off the glove of Brian Page, scoring runners from 2nd and 3rd for the win. Glenn Honda pitched from the middle of the fourth through the last play of the game in relief. Bart Mills pitched the first three innings leaving to be catcher with the score tied at 6 runs. Later in the 4th inning, the Grey’s went up 7-6. Brian Page initiated a double play on a grounder to third getting a runner out at second and Dario Serna threw out the batter at first. The throw was wide and Joe Tannerbauer made a good stretch and grab for the double play. Brian Page also caught a bouncer and raced the runner to the 3rd base bag for the tag out. On the offense, the star hitter for White Team was Robert Kurtz going 3/4 with a single, double and triple. His only out was what could have been a cycle home run but it was run down and caught in front of the center field fence by Joe Rassulo. We keep advising Robert that he shouldn’t hit the ball that far with the outfielders standing at the fence but he did anyway. Robert also scored 2 runs. Dario Serna was also 3/4 and scored 2 runs. Ed Lambert was also 3/4 with 2 doubles and scored a run. Bill Louie was 2/3 as was Glenn Honda who also scored a run and Joe Tannerbauer also 2/3 and scoring a run. (Grey Manager) In the 2nd game today was the White vs Grey teams. Both teams defense kept the score close. The Grey team pitcher, Anne Kepple, did not allow any walks and got batters to hit into a couple of double plays. Jon Chapman hit a double with two runners on base, scoring the tying and go ahead run in the bottom on the 7th for the win. Final score was White team 11 the Grey team 12. Leading the Grey Team Howard Rudich 3 hits (1 rbi), Joe Rasullo 3 hits (2rbi’s), Jon Chapman 2 doubles (2 rbi’s), Mauro Pendilla 2 hits (4 rbi’s), Anne Kepple 2 hits (1 rbi), Alan Sperling, Lincoln Chung and Steve Nicholson each had 2 hits, Tom Nyman 1 hit 2 walks), Sam Barr 1 hit (1 rbi), Dan Sakoda and Wayne Judah each had 1 hit.
