The 1st game today saw the Blue Team victorious over the White Team 17-5. (White Manager) The first inning saw a large number of free passes to the Blue Team and a few hits, Blue getting the Max 5 in the first inning. White countered with 2 in the first but the free passes continued in the 2nd and 3rd innings. The score was contained because the White Team infield teamed up for 3 double plays, one by Eric Ishibashi at 3rd, stepping on third with the bases loaded and throwing home to Lester Ostroy at home. Another double play was turned by Jon Chapman fielding a hard grounder behind 2nd base, stepping on second and throwing to Roger Davidheiser at first. By the fourth inning we had to call in the bullpen, Ed Lambert, making his debut as pitcher. pitched the 4th and 5th innings. Bart Mills came in to complete the game’s 6th and 7th innings. Among our hitters, the best were Steve Kriendel 2/3 with a double and scored two runs, Dennis Groat 2/3 and scored a run, Ed Lambert was 2/3 as was John Spielman. Bill Louie was 1/2. The best hit ball of the game was hit by Blue Team member, Al Del Rosario, hitting a long drive far past the left fielder and scoring everyone on base. No Report from the Blue Team

In the 2nd game which was a closely fought game. (Green Manager) the Green Team made a couple of mental mistakes and fielding errors which, combined with taking two outs for a missing 1 rated player, resulted in a one run loss, final score Red 10 Green 9. Ken Sackman led the offense going 4 for 4 with two doubles and 3 RBIs. Paul Siegal, Ken Widelitz and Ken King all were 3 for 4. Charlie Golden was 2 for 2 with a walk (and didn’t walk anyone while pitching.) Hugo Furth, Jim Berger and Jim Morrison all added 2 hits. No Report from the Red Team
