The 1st game today game between the Jets and Admiral Risty which ended with Risty winning 21-11. The game was close after 5 full innings with Risty ahead 14-9. The last 3 innings Risty picked up 7 more runs while the Jets mustered only 2 more to end the 9 inning game. The Whalers were led by Wayne Galer (3 rbi’s), Mike Lorden (dbl + 4 rbi’s) and Richard Ecker (2 rbi’s) all with a 5 hit day. Tony Luca and Adam Garcia (dbl + 3 rbi’s) both with 4 hits each. Mike Costa (triple + 4 rbi’) and Rob Staal (dbl + 5 rbi’s) both added 3 hits each while Howard Miller and sub Bryan White each contributed 2 hits each. The Jets hitting was led by Dario Serna with 4 hits (2 dbl), Steve Kato, Joe LaMay and John Rosenthal all with 3 hits each, George Wolfe, Paul Siegel, Andy Shelby, Doug Bagley and Ken King all added 2 hits each.

The 2nd game today between Hangar Inn and Butcher Construction was won by Butcher 21-6. The Hangar Inn boys were led in hitting by Jeff Walsh, Harold Kinsley, Hufh John McDonald, Audie Freeman and sub Wayne Galer, all with 2 hits in the game and Keith Sanchez added a 2b hit.
