2026 WEEK 21 THURSDAY HIGHLIGHTS

The 1st game today was a closely fought game won by Butcher Construction over the Jets 19-14. The teams were tied after 4 innings 10-10 and after 6 innings Butcher 16-14. The Butcher Boys added 3 more runs in the last 3 innings while the Jets couldn’t muster any more to end the game. The Jets were led by the hitting of Joe LaMay 4/4 while Steve Kato, Dario Serna, Doug Bagley and Mike Barnett all with 3 hits for the game. Louie Campo, Paul Siegel and Andy Shelby all had 2 hits for the Jets. No Report from Butcher Construction.

In the 2nd game the Admiral Risty Whalers and the Kettle played to a close game through 5 innings with Risty ahead 1-0. However, the last 4 innings saw the Whalers post two 5 run innings as the Kettle broke the ice with a run in the 9th inning to avoid the shutout. The Kettle played solid defense thoughout the game but couldn’t hold the Whalers down in the late innings. Leading the Kettle in hitting were 2 hits each for Howard Thompson, Carlos Arias and Ernie Rounsefell. No more than one for anyone else as the Whalers continued their stingy defense during the whole game. The Risty was led by Adam Garcia’s 4 hits (3b plus rbi), Rob Staal 3 hits (rbi), Wayne Galer, Alan Kiser (2 rbi’s), Rick Mansker (2 rbi’s), Mike Costa (rbi), Howard Miller (2 rbi’s) and Clay Collins all adding 2 hits. Mike Lorden added 2 rbi’s to round out the 11 runs.
