(Green Manager) In Game 1 today the Grey scored 8 runs in the first two innings, aided by a few Green errors. Grey didn’t score after the 2nd. Green only managed to score 4 runs, resulting in an 8-4 loss. David Inouye, Lincoln Chung (2B), Sub George Wolff and Ken Widelitz all went 2-for-3. The rest of the Green team offered little offense. (Grey Manager) The Gray team opened this morning with a decisive 8-4 victory over the Green team at Live Oak Field. The win was spearheaded by a masterful pitching performance from Glenn Honda, whose strategic control consistently shut down the Green Teams offense. Offensively, the Grey squad displayed a powerful and cohesive effort. Jon Chapman was perfect at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a RBI, while Sam Barr proved an RBI machine, driving in 3 runs. Wayne Judah, Doug Bagley, Glenn Honda and Dan Sakoda each contributed an RBI, with Joe Rasullo, Alan Sperling and Tom Nyman also consistently reaching base. This Grey team winning ways bodes well for the rest of the team’s season ahead.
