Risty led by Gary Bemis with a 4/5 day (3b 1 rbi), Tony Luca (1 rbi), Rick Mansker (2 rbi’s), Mike Costa, Adam Garcia (HR 4 rbi’s), Jim Stevens and Sam Barr (2b 1 rbi) all with 3 hits, Howard Miller 2 hits (1 rbi) Clay Collins (SF 2 rbi’s). The Whalers had 26 hits in the game. The Jets who also were hitting the ball well amassed a 24 hit game. The Jets led by Joe LaMay 4 hits, Dario Serna, George Wolfe (3b) and Paul Siegel (SF) all with 3 hits. Andy Shelby, John Rosenthal, subs Jim De Vico and David Inouye all with 2 hits each. Credit the Jets defense for 3 double lays in this game keeping the Whalers from scoring more runs.

In the 2nd game today, Butcher Construction was victorious over Hangar Inn 19-15. This was an energy packed contest with Hangar Inn being led by Ron Rotstein with 5 hits, Hugh John McDonald, Harold Kinsley and Derek Loughran all with 4 hits. Sub Jon Chapman and Dwayne Kingsby both added 3 hits. Audie Freeman, Jim Walsh and Sub Howard Thompson contributed 2 hits for the Inn. No Report from Butcher Construction
