(White Manager) The first game today saw the Green Team crush the winless Whites 17-4. Although not very frequent, there were a few outstanding defensive plays by the White Team. Robert Kurtz made a diving catch in the outfield, Bill Louie caught a dangerous hard liner and followed that with a nice running catch of a short fly. Roger Davidheiser made several catches of low, high and offline throws to first, one with a diving catch while keeping his foot on the first base bag. John Spielman and Steve Kreindel made some nice plays in the center of the infield while Bart Mills pitched a good game giving up very few walks and not too many hard hit balls. On the offensive side, Robert Kurtz was perfect going 3 for 3, Ward Brown was 2/3, Steve Kreindel was 2/3, and Eric Ishibashi was also 2/3. No Report from the Green Team.

(Grey Manager) The 2nd game played today was Blue Team vs Grey Team. The game stayed close most of the game. It was not a one side barn burner where one team dominated there was hitting on both sides with some good defense. In fact by the time the 5th inning was over the score was only a one run difference, Grey 9 and Blue 8. The Grey only managed one more run also adding a miscues here and there, and the Blue team adding another 5 runs, the final was Blue 13, Grey 10. Key players for the Grey team were Tom Nyman with 4 hits (1 rbi), Doug Bagley (2 doubles and 2 rbi’s), Sam Barr (2rbi’s) and Alan Sperling all with 3 hits each. Anne Kepple, Bruce Difley and Howard Rudich each added 1 rbi. No Report from Blue Team.
