The 1st game saw the short handed Jets play the Admiral Risty Whalers to a very close contest with the Whalers ending up with a 24-18 win. The Jets after their top of the 8th inning were behind by 2, 17-19 when Risty came back with 5 runs of their own to go ahead 24-17. The Jets in their last at bat only were able to add 1 more run to end the game. The Jets were led by Dario Serna 6 hits (dbl and triple), Steve Kato, Doug Bagley (dbl) and Sub David Inouye (2 dbls), all with 4 hits. Bob Julius, Andy Shelby, Mike Barnett, Howard Rudich, Doug Freeman and Sub Joe Rassulo all added 3 hits for the Jets cause. The Admiral Risty Whalers were led by Tony Luca and Adam Garcia (dbl 3 rbi’s) both with 5 hits, Mike Lorden, Rick Mansker (dbl 4 rbi’s) and Mike Costa (3 rbi’s) all added 4 hits each. Wayne Galer, Rob Staal (dbl) and Jim Stevens (2 rbi’s) added 3 hits each while Alan Kiser (2 rbi’s), Richard Ecker (3 rbi’s) and Sam Barr (2 rbi’s) had 2 hits each.

The 2nd game had the Hangar Inn team giving Butcher Construction a very competitive game with Butcher coming out ahead 19-16. Hangar Inn were led by Harold Kinsley and Ken Sackman (dbl) both with 4 hits, Audie Freeman, Dwayne Kingsby (dbl), Kelly Kahl and Ken Widelitz all had 3 hits each, Frank Mazzotta (dbl) and Joe Rassulo both with 2 hits each.
