2025 WEEK 9 TUESDAY PARITY LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS

(Blue Manager)  The Blue Team faced of with Green in a 1st/2nd place battle. Green jumped out to an early lead with 3 in the first but Blue answered with 5. Green tied it up with 2 in the 2nd and blanked Blue in the bottom of the 2nd. Green tacked on 1 in the 3rd and Blue woke up with another 5 spot In the bottom of the frame. From there, Blue added 8 more runs while holding Green scoreless. Outstanding pitching by Doug Freeman, clutch hits by Howard Rudich, Jim Berger, Ken King, John Ricci and Joe Rassulo and solid defense all around. Blue moves to 6-0.  (Green Manager)  A shorthanded Green team got crushed by the 1st Place Blue team. Ken Widelitz missed a connection Monday due to weather and had to overnight in Montreal. Doug Westhoff had a last minute family emergency.  With the exception of Alan Sperling’s 3/4 day and Joe Tannerbauer’s 3/3, the Green team didn’t do much damage at the plate.

(White Manager) The White Team only scored 6 runs which is surprising since the Team has so many good hitters. There was one outstanding play in the field, a leaping grab of a hard liner by Ward Ward at Rover. The White Team star hitters were Roger Davidheiser with 4 hits in 4 plate appearances, Glen Honda with 2 singles and a double in 4 plate appearances and Walter Shubin had a single and two walks in three plate appearances. The game was close until the bottom of the sixth inning when the Reds scored the maximum 5 runs. The White Team left the bases loaded in both the top of the sixth and top of the seventh. The final score, 13-6.  No Report from the Red Team as yet.
