(White Manager) The first game of the Tuesday parity league was a squeaker with the lead changing several times. The first inning had White score 3 in the top of the first and then Grey scored 5 in the bottom of the first. White went ahead in the 4th inning scoring the max 5 while Grey came back with 2 to make it 10-9, White in the lead. Grey went ahead for good in the bottom of the sixth with 2 runs to make the score 14-13. White went quietly in the 7th to end the game, Grey winning 14-13. Anne Kepple pitched a very good game with no walks. Ward Brown made two terrific throws for important outs, one at home and one at third base, both close plays. The most interesting play was a hard shot at Jon Chaykowski at third, it caromed off his shoe and went to Anne who threw the runner out. Ward was our hitting star with 3 singles and a double in 4 plate appearances scoring 2 runs and 2 rbi’s. Rebecca Singer had three hits, scoring 1 run and with 2 rbi’s. Anne, Lester Ostroy, Lincoln Chung, Steve Nicholson, Jon and Charlie Golden all had 2 hits each. (Grey Manager) Today was a great day with a win over the White Team 14-13 even though the score was only a rone run win for Grey. The Grey team’s batting average was .720 and the defense on both sides were stopping each teams’ rallies. Leading Grey was Greer Wasson, Mike Cross and Bill Katz all with 4 hits on the game. Steve Fiske, Pam Cedtone and Mauro Pendilla (double) all with 3 hits each. Bill Stirton, Audie Freeman and Hal Joyce added 2 hits each.
