2025 WEEK 6 TUESDAY PARITY LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS

(Grey Manager) The 1st game today saw the Red Team victorious over the Grey Team with the final score 18-14. The Grey Team was led by the hitting of Dave Taylor 4/4 (triple that should of been a homerun), sub David Inouye, Greer Wasson, Sam Bar (triple), Bil Stirton and Steve Fiske (triple) all with 3 hits. Hal Joyce, Bill Louie and Mauro Pendilla each had 2 hit for the game. (Red Manager) The Red team was boosted by a strong performance by substitute pitcher Charley Golden. Howard Thompson, Ron Rotstein, Gary Nieman and Dan Sakoda all had four hits apiece and Wayne Judah added three hits. Jim Morrison and Al Del Rosario combined for a nifty 5-3 putout to help secure the victory.

(Green Manager) As is often the case in a parity league, when the 2nd half of the order gets on base, you win close games. Paul Tiele, Ed Lambert, Bob Perkins, Earl Reason, Charlie Golden and Joe Tannerbauer all did the job for Green Tuesday. Joe Russalo is becoming our super sub this year, adding power to the offense and rotating through 6 positions on defense. Ultimately, the game was determined by defense with Joe T. making a game saving catch in left, Audie Freeman snagging a line drive that seemed past him for the first out in the bottom of the 7th and the middle infield turning that double play by a step at first to end the game. (White Manager) It was a very close game which ended with a double play in the last of the 7th White batting with one out and the bases loaded and the score 13-11 favor of Green. The hitting stars for White were Hugo Furth 4/4, Robb Brown subbing for Ward Brown 3/4. Steve Kriendel scored 3 of White’s 11 runs and was 2/4. Dennis Groat had a triple and single. White pulled ahead at the start of the game with 3 runs in the first but Green went ahead after 4 runs in the 4th and 5 runs in the fifth. White answered with 1 run in the 4th and 4 in the fifth. Both teams made excellent plays at rover, short stop and in the outfield.
