Today’s first game was a squeaker with Thursday’s League leading team, Admiral Risty playing against the Jets. The Jets played solid defense and led 3-2 after the 3rd inning but Risty posted 1 run to tie in the 4th inning. The Risty posted 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th and the Jets came right back to tie with 2 runs in their 7th inning. Admiral Risty pushed their last run in the bottom of the 8th leading by a single run but the Jets went quietly in the 9th and last inning to lose 6-7. The Jets were led by Ken King along with sub David Inouye both with 3 hits in the game. Joe LaMay, Steve Kato, Mike Barnett all added 2 hits for the Jets. Admiral Risty had 3 hits by Tony Luca and Gary Bemis, Wayne Galer, Mike Lorden, Rick Mansker, Clay Collins and Howard Miller all contributed 2 hits each. Mike Lorden and Alan Kiser both had 2 rbi’s and Rick Mansker, Jim Stevens and Wayne Judah added an rbi each to round out the score.

In the 2nd game between Shellback Tavern and the Kettle, the Kettle was victorious 19-6. Shellback was led by David Inouye and Derek Loughran (double) both with 3 hits in the game. Harold Kinsley and Joe Rasullo (double and triple) both with 2 hits. No Report from the Kettle.
