Admiral Risty in the 1st game today playing the short handed Jets team was victorious with the score ending 31-16. The Jets battled valiantly while missing 3 of their starters, challenging Risty into the 6th inning behind by 5 the score being 20-15. The final 3 innings proved costly to the Jets as they could only muster 1 more run on offense while Risty came up with 11 runs due to untimely mishaps by the Jets defense. The Jets were led by Dario Serna, Dana Goler (triple), Joe LaMay and Ward Brown (double) all having a 4/5 day with their bats. Bryan White added 3 hits and Lincoln Chung, Andy Shelby, Howard Rudich and substitute Joe Rassulo all with 2 hits in the game. Admiral Risty was led by Dave Taylor’s 5 hit game (triple, 6 rbi’s) and Tony Luca, Richard Ecker, Rob Staal (homerun, 4 rbi’s) and Jim Stevens all with 4 hits, Alan Kiser had 3 hits (triple) as did Clay Collins and Wayne Judah. The Risty is now on a 3 game win streak.

We saw a hard fought 2nd game today with the Kettle outscoring Shellback Tavern 16-11 in the 2nd game. Shellback led by Ron Rotstein, David Inouye, Hugh John McDonald and Joe Rassulo, all with 3 hits for the game. Ken Widelitz added 2 hits with a triple with 2 rbi’s and Harold Kinsley also a triple and 2 rbi’s.
