(Grey Manager) In the 1st Playoff Game the Grey Team beat the Red Team 16-1. Grey led by Joe Rasullo 4/4, Lee Messenger and Mauro Pendilla both 3/3, Ernie Rounsefel (2 rbi’s), Sam Barr (4 rbi’s), Bill Stirton, Bill Louie all 2/3 on the day. Steve Daly and Hal Joyce both had 2 rbi’s. The Grey Team will be the Home Team against the White Team next week for the League Championship. No Report from Red Team.

(White Manager)The White Team hit the ball very well today, scoring a record 25 runs for this season. The White defense limited the potent Blue hitters to only 9 runs. Lincoln Chung made a lot of plays at SS, Rebecca Singer caught a tough fly, Steve Kreindel caught a soft fly over his head and caught tough grounders at third, Glenn Honda made several running catches in RCF. One controversy arose because Hugo Furth, playing 2nd base for White dislocated his last finger on his right hand and had to leave the game. In batting, Ward Brown started off the game with a triple to left field and ended up 4/5, Dennis Groat was 5/5 with a double, Lester Ostroy was 5/5, Steve Kreindel was 4/5 with a double and triple, Glenn Honda, Jon Chaykowski, Lincoln Chung, Rebecca Singer and Steve Nicholson were 3/5. Anne Kepple pitched another excellent game, keeping the Blue sluggers off their stride. Now on to the Championship game next week. No Report from Blue Team.
