(Grey Manager)   The 1st game for today, Aug 19, was with the Grey vs White.   Score Grey 19-8.  The Grey team scored in every inning of today’s game. Led by Sam Barr 4-4, Jon Chapman 4-4 both with an rbi. Steve Fiske 3-3 an RBI’s (3) and Bill Louie 3-3, rbi(4). Bill Stirton went 3-4, an RBI’s (2), Steve Daly 3-4 an rbi (1), Mike Jenkins went 2-3 with a 2b, Lee Messenger added a (2b). Pam Cerdone and Martin Ageson both went 2-3.  The Grey combined for a team batting avg of .763. The white team with all the injuries it has gone through the season, could not get a rally going until the 6th inning scoring 4 runs but going  into the 7th the Grey’s pitching and defense was the key to the win.   (White Manager)  The Grey Team handily defeated the White team 18-7. For the White Team, on defense, Jon Chaykowski made a nice play catching a pop up with his bare hand and made a nice throw home to get the arrogant runner trying to score from third after the catch in the infield. Rebecca Singer made a spectacular diving catch of a sinking fly. For offense, Ward Brown went 3/3, Hugo Furth went 3/3, Rebecca Singer was 3/4 with a double, Lester Ostroy and Roger Davidheiser were both 2/3.

The 2nd game today between the Blue Team and Red Team resulted in the Blue Team winning their 16th straight game.  Score 16-7.  No Report from either Blue Team or Red Team
