(Red Manager) The 1st game between the Green and Red teams saw the Red winning 3-2 on Wayne Judah’s bases loaded walk off hit in the seventh inning. Wayne had three hits and made a great catch in the top of the seventh to keep the game tied. Bart Mills pitched a stellar game and Howard Thompson made two outstanding defensive plays. Howard, Ron Rotstein and Dave Johnson each contributed two hits. (Green Manager) Green suffered a severe case of Atemitis (at-em-itis), hitting six hard line drives, but right at ’em. To Red’s credit, all were caught. Sub David Inouye, Doug Westhoff, Karl Primm, Greer Wesson, and Paul Thiel all had two hits, but Green only managed to plate two runs.
(Blue Manager) The 2nd game today saw the Grey come out hot with hit after hit to rack up 4 in the top of the first. Blue left a couple guys on in the home half but couldn’t plate any runs. After that Blue’s pitching shut down Grey allowing only one more run through 7 while opening the flood gates with 17 runs on clutch hitting by Jim Berger, Mark Allen, Doug Bagley, Rebecca Singer, David Inouye and Joe Rassulo. Outstanding defensive plays by Andy Shelby, Bruce Difley, Martin Ageson and Ken King kept Blue in the lead. Blue stands undefeated at 10-0. (Grey Manager) The late game today was against Grey Vs Blue. The Grey team scored 4 runs in the 1st inning. The Blue team scored 2 in the 2nd inning. By the third the score read 4 to 6 Blue. The Grey team managed to score just 1 more run but the Blue team scored an additional 11 runs making it a final 5 – 17 Blue. The Grey was led by Alan Sperling 2 hits (1 triple 3rbi’s) Bill Stirton and Jon Chapman each had 2 hits as did Jim Macias and Mauro Pendilla.
