2025 PLAYOFF PLAY-IN GAME TUESDAY PARITY LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS

(White Manager) The Play-in Game started off in White’s favor scoring 5 runs in the top of the first inning. White got many key hits throughout the game and also played pretty good defense. Ward Brown made several plays at Rover and 3rd base, Hugo Furth made several good plays at 2nd base, Jon Chaykowski made two hard catches in right field. Rebecca Singer and Steve Kreindel made nice running catches in LCF a LF. Roger Davidheiser made a nice catch of a hard grounder at first base to end the game. Ward Brown made an excellent throw home to Steve Nicholson to get a runner at home. In hitting, every White player scored at least one run. Jon Chaykowski was 4/4, Hugo Furth was 4/5, Ward Brown was 4/5 with 3 doubles, Lester Ostroy was 3/4 and Brian Page and Dan Sakoda were a combined 3/5. There was a controversy because White replaced a missing player with a pool player which is against the rules. Initially the Green Team protested the game but agreed to rescind the protest and continue the game if the illegal player was replaced by a legal substitute so the White recruited Dan Sakoda from the audience to finish the game that Brian Page started as a pool player.
