The 1st Thursday Playoff Game between 5th Place Grunions and 2nd Place BrokButcher was a 7 inning contest won by BrokButcher 20-2. The Grunions team could not withstand the firepower the Butchers brought today. The Grunions effort was led by Brian Heffernan 3 hits including a homerun, 3 hits by Ken Sackman and 2 hits from Bill Louie. No Report from BrokButcher.

The 2nd Playoff Game had the 4th Place Jets and 3rd Place Kettle, which was a see-saw battle between the two teams. The Kettle led the Jets 14-9 after 8 innings and the Jets came back to score 6 runs in their 9th while holding the Kettle scoreless in the home 9th inning leaving the Jets winning by a score of 15-14. The Jets were led by outfielder Steve Kato who was 4/5 including a homerun, Doug Bagley 3 hits including a triple, Mike Barnett and Andy Shelby also with 3 hits, While Bryan White, Joe LaMay, Robert Hernandez, Kenny King and pitcher Doug Freeman all had 2 hits to contribute. On defense the Jets Karl Primm stifled the Kettlers while stabbing multiple line drives for outs while in the Rover position. Karl did finally miss a line drive in the 7th inning opening the gates to the Kettlers 5 run inning but in the Jets 9th they were able to score their last 6 runs with 3 walks and 5 hits to secure the win.
